Meet the Psychologist
I work with children as young as 7, but most often see teenagers, adults, and families when struggles get in the way of enjoying life and suffering becomes too familiar. Friends and family are vital sources of support, yet a therapist can provide additional essentials: individual attention in a safe setting from a nonjudgmental viewpoint.
I believe that relationships are central to our well-being—relationships at home, school, work, and the relationships we have with ourselves. The process of therapy involves getting to know each other and building a relationship. As you come to feel open to exploration with me, I will help you to identify unhealthy patterns, and gain a clearer understanding of how you view yourself and the world and the ways in which your views may serve to create self-defeating situations.
