Based on a referral from our pediatrician's office,
we went to see Dr. Vorpahl to help my daughter with some anxiety/social issues. Dr. Vorpahl established a rapport with my daughter, really seems to understand her and gave her some simple but effective exercises to use when she felt overwhelmed. Dr. Vorpahl is a valuable resource and I would highly recommend her.

Losing a husband and father when you have two young children brings so many challenges to a loving family. It's hard to put feelings in words. Dr. Vorpahl has been instrumental in helping myself and my kids ages 4 and 7 work through this journey to our new life with all the silences of our missing loved one. I am learning to lean on others who so graciously want to help and my kids are learning ways to express emotions too big to understand at such young ages. Thank you Dr. V!
Dr. V. has a supportive and insightful approach to her work my family, especially our 8 year old daughter who suffers from anxiety and separation /attachment issues. Her appreciation for the complexities of our family dynamics has been extremely helpful. She approaches each session with a wonderful sense of humor and warmth which have made her very enjoyable to work with, giving our daughter reason to say "Yeah! I get to see Dr. V." before every session!
Sometimes as a parent you just have to admit that you can't manage your child's "tough times" without help. Dr. Vorpahl combines the right mix of patience, humor, experience and candor in facilitating dialog with teens and between teens and their parents. Dr. Vorpahl has been an outstanding resource for all of us during some very stressful and challenging years. When asked about Dr V., our 15 year-old summarizes in one heartfelt statement, "She's changed my life".

You can't help but like Dr. V. Her warmth and bright smile was so soothing. My 8 year old daughter looked forward to meeting with her "worry doctor". Dr. V helped my daughter with the use of strategies to overcome her anxieties. I would highly recommend her!
I've been a client of VPA for some time, now. Dr. Vorpahl is a very supportive and encouraging individual. She has really inspired me and helped me to believe in myself, again! I am glad to be a client of Dr. V's and to have someone to "listen and trust".
